im trying to decide between godaddy service and yahoo service. Whats best and how? and with yahoo i know you caant have a user creat an account and access it when ever they want, can godaddy? and if so can the users contact other users?

Neither. Both have shoddy service and a horrible track record. My personal favorite host is DreamHost. If you have the cash, Media Temple is phenomenal.
