I was looking at the auction for meangirls2.com from godaddy.com and man, this could give me a serious return. Does anyone have experience in this field that could lend me some advise?

I don’t have experience with this but I do caution you. This only pays off if someone wants to buy the domain from you. It’s basically a chance gamble and probably not likely to pay off big time. Someone could just as easily go for: meangirlstwo.com, meangirls-2.com etc in which case they wouldn’t need to pay you for yours.
I think you might have missed the boat on this one. People have done this with most of the best domain names so you may spend quite a while trying to find a good one, so it may not be worth your time.
If you do manage to get one, http://www.sedo.com can help you use it to make money with ad revenue and selling it if someone wants to buy it.
