Category: FAQ   Time: 2010-02-02   Tags: , , ,

I am needing to make a .com website for my fraternity. It needs to have at least 5 pages with it, colors and pictures. I am able to pay 5-10 dollars a month, but I do not want any HTML stuff, just easy to use. What is the best site to use? All that I know is godaddy

Don’t really need to pay for a website if you use Microsoft Office Live Small Business, a free service – http://tinyurl.com/officelive . It has a free design tool that allows you to create web pages without coding. It has no ads and has 500mb of web space. MS is giving a free domain name for the 1st year.

Well first you should get a .com name I suggest you look here because you can get one cheap http://www.123-reg.co.uk/
Next, you will need hosting and I can give you an excellent free web hosting service from my own site http://www.cashclimbers.com
    Your url will be http://www.yourchosenname.cashclimbers.com
but if you purchase your own .com name you can direct it to replace that. When you purchase a name you will be told how to do that.
Thirdly, you will need a website creator. I’ll give you a link in a mo!
ps. My sites are advert free.
okay you can download a fully functional trial version here. It’s really easy or you can you use microsoft office website publisher, that’s dead simple too ! Assuming you have office that is.http://www.ewisoft.com/free-website-make…

I bought my website through google which is through go daddy. With google there is a webpage builder so it’s easy to get a website up and running. It cost 8 bucks a year. I think it would best fit your needs. I also had ready made templates. Good luck! =)

Most, if not all, of the free web hosting companies have site-building software and templates available. Since I’ve never used them, I can’t recommend any specific site.
An internet search for the term “free web hosting” should turn up dozens of them.
