I currently have a hosting package with hostmonster.com, however i didn’t realise at the time that they don’t register .co.uk names.
So can anyone recommend where i might be able to register a domain name, ideally someone who’s realiable. I also want to have full ownership over my domain name.
Thanks

http://www.LocoDomains.com gives you full ownershipand has the best deals, cheaper than godaddy. Prices start at $0.99
i use this one

For ownership you need to register the domain name. Your local phone companies will probably provide stable hosting.
i think from google
But hostmonster let you have a free .com name with your account. (Which is arguably more international and potentially better than co.uk in many cases…ideally get your name as .com AND .co.uk then it doesn’t mater if folks mis-recall it and put the wrong one in). Book the .com version via your Hostmonster account — and buy the co.uk via somewhere like http://www.namecheap.com (which I have used for many domains and at US$8.88 they are pretty competitive and sell co.uk.) Then direct the .co.uk name to the .com site and you’re covered!
godaddy.com
I’ve never had a problem from Namesco.http://www.names.co.uk/
yahoo has a sale for only 1.99 it on the yahoo homepage
Network Solutions. The ONLY place to go for quality, reliable domain names.
networksolutions.com Oldest and the best
Iomart.
(I have over 300 domains) I do NOT recommend NetworkSolutions. They are WAY overpriced.
The most trusted by domainers are:
Godaddy.com
NameCheap.com
DomainSite.com
Any of those three are cheap and good.
