I got 3 comments today and 1 email from the same guy telling me to remove something or he was going to put trojan horses all over my site. Can he really do this? I run a pretty large celeb gossip site and i dont want this to happen. I have his IP so I can block him via my cpanel on hostgator but I dont want to block more people then just him. What should I do?

A Trojan virus is faulty computer program that can infect remote computers by changing the desktop or deleting important files. Generally called a Trojan Horse, it appears as a legitimate file or software from a trusted source, therefore tricking users into opening it or downloading it. Take action and protect your personal computer files by learning to delete this Trojan virus.

Make sure your wordpress is up-to-date. Monitor your logs for any strange uploads. They have to upload something to affect it (somehow). Security holes in Wordpress itself are usually addressed by their updates.
I would block that user’s entire /24 subnet. Even if he has DHCP somehow, odds are he will still get an address in the same /24 subnet.
To prevent him scanning and spamming your site, you may want to look into some common traps, like http://www.projecthoneypot.org
They have some add-ons for Wordpress that help blacklist certain users for un-wanted activity.
ignore the threat do not respond because over 90% of the time it’s a bluff. he can only do this if he hacks your site so make sure you have a strong password. report this to your domain owners as they are responsible in providing security and advise, thats why you pay. ….you must of really pissed this guy off lol
You Can Put A Trojan On Any Website. If Your A Hacker Who Knows How To.
If he’s a REAL hacker, then yes, he can do all kinds of damage to your site–and you’d never be able to block him because REAL hackers know how to hide behind proxies and VPNS, and would have done so first before writing you that email. If he is a real hacker, then the IP you have for him is nothing more than a proxy. Oh, it’s a real IP, it’s just not HIS!
But he’s not a real hacker because first of all, a real hacker would never have threatened you with putting “trojan horses” all over your site. That’s just silly and displays complete ignorance about the definition of a “trojan”! A trojan is nothing more than a very small program that provides a “back door”–that enables the hacker to open a port to sneak in throughand cause damage. It only takes 1 trojan to do this and a real hacker would know that, so why would s/he would threaten to put “trojan horses all over” your site? What would be the point?
And again, it’s just a “back door” so what kind of threat is that?
No, a REAL hacker would threaten that he’s going to perform a DOS attack–or “denial of service” attack, which would flood you site with overwhelming packets of date–and take it down! Of course, DOS attacks usually only last a short period of time as the hacker has to utilize immense amounts of resources to do this, and has to keep using them all during the attack–which makes him highly visible, and easier to trace. DOS attacks are highly illegal, criminally prosecuted and carry penalties of up to 10 years in prison. Not many hackers are willing to risk this, and the ones who do, normally only do so for short periods of time, a couple hours at the most. Not really that big a threat.
Now, he could also threaten to delete all the information and data on your website–hope you’ve backed it up! In which case, you just reinstall and go right back to business as usual.
My recommendation is that you email him back and inform him that you’ve reported his threat to the FBI and other authorities. To be on the safe side, I’d also block his IP, and then don’t worry about it.
Well if someone got admin access then ofcourse they can, otherwise it would very hard to do this. I dont even think its possible to do it without admin access from what I know.
We keep reading that he’s still dating Vanessa Hudgens, but who is zac efron dating the I just read that he’s dating Nikki Blonsky. clarify please?
