Can You Run 2 Domains On One Hosting Service? (bluehost)?

Category: FAQ   Time: 2009-06-29   Tags: , , ,

I’ve got 2 domains and all the files go in the public/html folder for my primary domain/blog. So is there a way to get them both hosted and working at once? Thx.

Yep there is an easy way to do this, in the control panel (BlueHost uses cPanel) just click on addon domains or add domain, and then create the second domain you want to host and choose the subfolder you want to put those files in. Then load the files for that site in that folder under public_html and you should be good to go!
I run/own Site5.com and they use the same technology we do (cPanel). We also do something called MultiAdmin on our highest plan that lets you create a seperate control panel account for each domain if you want to keep them separate as well.
    Good luck! Hope that helps!
    thanks, Ben

Yes you can, it’s the Add-on domain feature in the control panel.
However if you haven’t registered with Blue Host yet, I recommend http://www.hostmonsterplus.com it’s the same company and the same features, but it is $1 cheaper per month, and Host Monster has no problems in China, where as Blue Host has had problems.
Either way, yes it is possible with both.
    Good Luck
