Hello,
I have created a website in Dreamweaver CS3 and I bought a domain name and hosting on godaddy.com. I figured out how to “put” or “upload” the files to the server but the site doesn’t show up. When I log into my godaddy account and click on file manager all my site files are there but when I try an go to my website it says Oops – Page not found, The page you tried to access does not exist on this server.
In the “Site Definition” Wizard on Dreamweaver these are my settings:
How do you connect to your remote server? FTP
What is the hostname or FTP of your webserver? www.domainname.com
What folder on your server do you want to store your files in? I left it blank
Then I entered my username and password and when I test the connection it says “Dreamweaver CS3 connected to your web server successfully”
Do you have any idea why my site isn’t showing up?
Thanks.

I have Dreamweaver CS2 and Use Godaddy as well. Your settings seem correct to me. Could be a host of issues.. Just call GoDaddy customer service, they are surprisingly helpful… North Americans to boot.
Did you correctly name your home page? It should be index.html or index.htm on a GoDaddy server.
Also, are you sure that your domain name has begun propagating? It takes it a little while to kick in- sometimes up to a couple of days. (Usually faster these days though.)
