E-commerce Website, Which Host?

Category: FAQ   Time: 2009-07-10   Tags: , , ,

I want to open an ecommerce website selling hand crafted products I make. I need some recommendations, a Domain name needs to be included, sitebuilder and if possible no setup fee. I almost signed up to this company https://www.hostmonster.com/ looks excellent for only $4.99 a month but then I discover the biggest and most important catch as I’m straped for cash it like any other site I have looked at says it has to be prepaid, which I can’t afford to do.

Try hostgator.com – I use them and they are good guys.
Do NOT use Registerfly – they have major problems.

I personally think Webhero is the best.http://www.webhero.com/?aff_id=14747
They have several packages that allow
e-commerce and you can pay monthly.
The lowest one is $4.95 a month.

It will be months before anyone starts buying from a new website. You have to promote it to drive people to it and you may not make your first sale for four months. You need to get about 1000 hits a day to make one sale.

If you have just started a company and do not want to use a lot of money you can go to http://www.itscustomized.com and rent an ecommerce website. They currently have a free 30 days trial offer. Everything is built from shopping cart to admin panel to allow you to upload your merchandise. The best part is you can rent this ecommerce website complete with paypal payment gateway for little money and no long term commitment either. I have my own store and have been using them for almost a year now.
