Our company is looking to change chopping carts and hosting for our website.
We are currently having our site hosted from ComCity, and using their SaleCart Express shopping cart.
ComCity’s hosting and cart is very primitive and has been nothing but trouble.
I am not sure what we are paying per month, but like I said, it has been nothing but trouble.
They do not offer detailed statistics, but basic visits and a bar graph.
We have used HostMonster, GoDaddy, and a few others in the past.
We chose to use SalesCart, because it was the easiest to integrate with Dreamweaver with little problems.
Can anyone suggest a better company?

If this is a professional level site you have for running a business you definitely should have a professional level cart. Unfortunately many people try to find cheap ways to use the carts when this is the actual brains of the ecommerce site. If you want to test drive a really pro cart (they will give you a free demo) call BuzzCart. (www.buzzcart.com) . These guys are ecommerce pro’s, not designers who also happen to install crappy out of the box carts. I am sure they have an 800 number listed on their site.
Sorry the hear of your troubles!
It is not the fault of the hosting company: it is YOUR fault as the developer!
You are using Dreamweaver: first BIG-HUGE mistake!
Dreamweaver is good for static pages, but totally inadapted to perform anything interactive such as a shopping cart.
Get rid of Dreamweaver, start coding in Php with MySQL. Download php shopping carts if you don’t know how to do it, or hire a professional developer.
Don’t blame your host is the “facilities” they provide are rudimentory: their job is to provide HOSTING, NOT coding! If their servers are up 99% of the time and comms are reliable, that is ALL they are there for. All the rest is “offered” for amateurs who do not know better!
For hosting I use DreamHost. There has never been a problem. Their prices are nominal and offer a great service. As for shopping cart, you should try E-junkie.com. They provide with a copy-paste shopping cart which you can simply paste in your website. The cart is very simple to maintain and easy to implement with Dreamweaver. They have different pricing plans but the basic starts at $5 a month and no hidden fee. http://www.e-junkie.com/
No problems I wouldn’t recommend one because our skill are different so this is what you do.
Go to adobe dreamweaver extension exchange they have several extensions that work with dw (be careful though if you are using dwcs4 some are still in testing phase) anyways there are some free trails.
I found a large online list of personal website hosting companies. http://www.findwebsitehost.com Locating a local webhosting service might have it’s advantages since you can visit their facility incase a server crashes.
Try using Zen Cart and purchase a SLL certificate
