Category: FAQ   Time: 2010-01-02   Tags: , , , , ,

Good morning everyone,
I bought a domain name off a site called Godaddy.com, I also bought a hosting space. How do I make my web site live? Right now it only shows up through Preview DNS web site live.
I tried finding some tips on the site and this was all i got, not much help:

You need to change your domain’s settings so it points to your host’s nameservers. If you’re using GoDaddy.com, go into the Domain Manager, click on the Nameservers button towards the top, select the “I have a hosting account with these domains” option and click OK.
It will take a few hours to update, but when it does you’ll see a blue and white welcome page when you visit the domain. Then you need to use an FTP client (one is included in your hosting control panel) to upload your website’s files.

Ya, its a parking domain. You have to create an index.html page it is the homepage by default then make links to other webpages.
