Why is GoDaddy’s SSL only $19.99 a year for 256 bit encryption and Verisign is in the hundreds of dollars for 128bit encryption? What is the difference between the two?

    Godaddy is a low cost internet service provider. They will sell goods and services to anyone with a credit card or paypal account.
    Verisign is a mature reliable company that charges more to keep the spammers and other non desireable users from their ranks.
    Both certificates will work, both are valid, customers will be happy with both.
