If you have uploaded files already via FTP, I hope you uploaded to the public_html folder as that is where your folders/pages have to reside. If your site worked okay on your computer when viewing in your browser locally, you have to maintain the SAME folder/file relationship when you upload to your online site.
Make sure the name server pointers have been set. GoDaddy should have done that for you. It takes at least 24 hours to get out to the servers. Sometimes less, sometimes more. You can check this by logging in and going to your Control Panel.

You will have to create a web page and place links to the documents you have uploaded. You can test it out by:http://yoursitename.com/documentname.pdf
    something likehttp://dzsoundnirvana.com/index.php
The site map will not do you any justice until you have some web pages up there.
