I own a hosting company, and can tell you from experience that GoDaddy is problematic.
HostMonster.com gets scared when you upload more than a GB of files
and Lunar Pages I’ve heard mixed feelings.
Don’t sign up for 3ix.org either… waste of money!!!
And NEVER sign on for a year! Only live by the months or by the Quarter if you must. It will make it easy to move hosts easier if a problem every arises.

Out of the three, GoDaddy has too many bad reviews. Hostmonster got the least bad reviews thus highly recommended. We have used Host Monster without any problem.
