For example, http://no-www.org/

    Most domains will work without the www. prefix (for instance, my domain, digitalblackmedia.com, will work with or without the www).
    Your web hosting company just has to configure their servers to, by default, route traffic to port 80 on the web hosting machine if no prefix is provided.
    I currently use 1sthostweb.com as my web host, so I know they’re set up this way.

    As you may know a domain name is just a name, not a real website. If you are going to create your website: 1- Buy a domain name. 2- Buy a web hosting service to provide your online space and enable you to get your website online at your purchased domain name.
    If you want to start your website I recommend purchase your domain and hosting together. In this way it is possible to get your domain for free. Some hosting services offer this gift today.
    One of these services is reachable at: http://bluehost-service.atspace.com . Their service is really great and easy to use. This company offers “Free Site Builder” that helps you build your web pages without difficulty if you are not skilled in using any website creating program. (WYSIWYG: What You See Is What You Get).

    Yes. Technically, sites that have “www” at the beginning have separate A records.
    For example:
    72.14.207.99 == http://www.google.com
    72.14.207.99 == google.com
    Same IP, same site, but two A records.
    If you only set up an A record like this:
    111.111.111.111 == mysite.com
    then “www.mysite.com” will not work.

    well www stand for world wide web and if you type google.com it will go to http://www.google.com/ and it doesnt really matter as far as i know if there is a www.
