I was told that my domain name will not work until this happens and I really need to do this as soon as possible! so please help.

Have you checked the PLESK manual? Setting DNS can be done for each domain on the system. Here is the HOW TOhttp://download1.sw-soft.com/Plesk/Plesk…
You also need to tell your domain registrar what the new DNS settings (ip’s are) and register the DNS names with them as well!
If you do not fully understand DNS, get your hosting provider to help you with this! It is not for the DNS beginner!
