Hosting Account FTP Information :
To upload your web site to your web hosting account you will need the following information:
1. FTP Address or Hostname: Your Domain Name
2. FTP Username & Password: You selected both of these during account creation
3. Start Directory: You should leave this blank or include a single forward slash (i.e. /)
4. FTP Port: You should enter Standard, or 21.
In order to upload your web site you will need FTP Client software OR Web Design Software with FTP capabilities.
* FTP Client. Below are a list of the more popular FTP Clients. Click the links below for screen shots of the settings you will need to upload your web site.
o WS-FTP
o CuteFTP
o AceFTP
o CoffeeCup
* Web Design Software with built-in upload features. Below is a list of the more popular Web Design Software products that include an upload feature.
o WebSite Complete
o Microsoft FrontPage
o Netscape Composer
You’ll have to go to the page to click any links mentioned.

ftp://yourdomain.ext
GoDaddy automatically creates a root access ftp account when you setup the hosting account.
The easy way:
Enter ftp://yourdomain.ext in your browser
Enter User Name & Password
Follow any subsequent instructions from browser. For example, later version of IE will give simple instructions how to open in Windows Explorer.
Copy/Paste your files
It is that simple
I use filezille for my ftp transfers and godaddy. I believe you have to type in your “host” IP#..you can find this when you click on “myhosting” in godaddy and then click on your domain name…it’s be a long number, example: 72.167.131.196. My default port is 21…you’ll also need your user name, password and to select your default local directory. Hope this is sorta helpful:)
Hello,
You could go to your start menu -> run and type cmd. This will br ing up a command prompt. You can then type ping yourdomain.com replacing yourdomain.com with your actual domain name.
This will return your Ip address which you can use FTP software to connect to.
Good Luck!

The ftp address is normally the same one you use to browse your website, but using a different port.
Try to use your domain name first like :
