I want to give an extra domain name to someone who runs a business online to use as an alternate web address. I would like to buy the domain for a year and give it as a gift. How do I do it so that I give control over to the gift recipient? Thanks.

Register the domain with your own credit card info but – when you get to the registrant/owner info page enter the person’s name and address for the ownership:http://www.unitedtec.net/domain.php
Cheers
Yes Ben-
the company I have used 4 years is REALLY good .
U can basically go there and buy each particular domain name U want for for $11 then point the ” ownership” to your gift recipient while still having the payment information be in UR name. Later once U give them the domain they can create their own acct and move the domain into their full info then
Good luck !
What, after a year you are going to make the person pay for it even though its not expensive. I don’t know if I would give it as a surprise gift ask before you do it. Otherwise just file the domain in the persons name I suppose.
