I want to make a website that i can put games on and other stuff like pictures and be able to take donates and this type of stuff and i was wondering what i needed to do to do this see i already have my domain name purchased from GoDaddy.com and my dad has agree to pay for anything else needed such as the server but i don’t know how to get started what do i do after this and how do i design the site the way i want to?

http://opera.com/wsc/ makes an excellent starting point.
Beware of w3schools, they get a lot of trade off the way their name is similar to w3c, but have lots of proprietary code and bad practices in their guides and examples (not to mention outright errors)
I wouldn’t even think about buying hosting until I’d built the site, at least the basics of it. For that matter, I wouldn’t get the domain name either (but its too late for that for you).
I advise that you take class or use Dreamweaver for the HTML code. Try to get a basic understanding of how to make webpages. But if you are using a Pre-Domain name site then you should be able o just INSERT flash or whatever game that you would like to use. Another good site to use is http://www.synthasite.com
1. create local web site (via MS Word, notead or via Dreamviewer)
2. create hosting+domain account in GoDaddy or in Yahoo
3. upload your site via Total Commander to host
