I recently (yesterday) bought a website from “godaddy.com” which is a buisiness that sells domains. When I bought one, I felt like there was nothing more to do. I have no idea how I can add something to it, like pages. When I went to the site I bought, It said that the website is purchased by godaddy.com. It is still a blank (somewhat blank) site. BUT WHAT DO I DO?? I want to make it into a personal website, kinda like a blog. But I have no clue how to make pages! godaddy.com DOES NOT handle that problem. Nowhere on the site is a button where you can “add a page to your site” and start typing away. I am soo stumped. Please somebody help me. I thought you could buy a site, then just use godaddy.com to type stuff in it! But they don’t do that.
I would really like someone’s help on this subject, please.

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but you just got ripped off. You should have asked these questions before you paid for the site.
Now you will need to learn such things as HTML, JavaScript, VBWeb.NET (or C#Web.NET), and study design and art.
After you have learned all this, then you can start adding content to your web site.
I wish you the very best of luck, but I sure hope you didn’t sign a long-term contract with them, or anything that ties you in to a legal agreement.

u probably have to create ur own html pages and upload them to the website. That’s prolly what they mean by page builder.
Use front page or dream weaver to create ur pages then upload them to ur server.
You need to have a lil knowledge before u pay for a host and domain

I am not sure how godaddy does it but there is usually an administrative panel, like Cpanel. Google Cpanel for more information on that as I really don’t use it.
TO set up a page is going to require alot of work. First thing is you need is an FTP client. FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. IT will be what sends files between your comp and your website. SmartFTP is a good one for windows. Open smart ftp and login to your website with it. Look for a folder called public_html. This is where you will put file you want shown on your website. Make a file on your local computer that has this in it:

You can copy and paste that. Call the file index.html and ftp it into that public_html folder from before. You should go to your website now and see “Hello World” on there.
Website creation is alot of work and you have to learn many languages to become proficient at it. If you just want a blogging site, there are sites online that provide free blogging services without you having to learn any of this extra stuff
