You need at least a blog or a website to have traffic. I believe your files on webserver are not crawled by search engine spiders since search engines only index information from websites and blogs.
You can create a free blog from wordpress.com or blogger.com you can also have a website using godaddy.com
Some websites and blogs are having a hard time generating traffic how much more your files on a webserver.
I hope it helps.
traffic from search engine are determined by ranking not whether it has been indexed or not. indexed site only means it has been noticed by search engine. your site could have been indexed for thousands years but still won’t get any traffic. free organic search engine traffic only given to popular site. the logic is why should new site be shown instead of millions other website that already exist long before. and why should search engine prefer webfolders instead of domain name. if you understand the reality of life then you know how to get search engine traffic. in case you need additional knowledge on search engine traffic you can check out my site and go to website building section. look for SEO.
