I Have Slow Dial Up Connection… Can I Have My Own Website? Uploading Seem To Be A Problem.?

I’m trying to figure out how I can upload a simple file (500000 Bytes) to my Godaddy hosted website. I needed JAVA to use their web based FTP client, but the Java program slowed down my Microsoft Internet Explorer program too much. I cannot use JAVA.
I was thinking about using my internet explorer to upload the files but found that there is a security problem with that. (My password would be displayed along with the web address)
So how can I upload a file to my website??? Is there a way to do it with my very slow dial up internet connection?

Firefox has a simple ftp client that you can use from the browser. Files are only going to be pushed as fast as your modem can handle, but it should work.
