If i own the domain name, what steps do i need to go about in order to publish my web site if i already have all the pages designed?

    Well, if you have the access rights to it… then you should have the access to the ftp of your server. If you don’t, you need to get it.
    Once you have your username and password for the ftp you can use dreamweaver to setup access to your site and then you can upload it right through dreamweaver.

    It sounds like what you’re missing is the hosting. You say you have a domain name but are you hosting it somewhere? A host gives you access to a control panel where you can either get FTP details for uploading your web pages to them or they often contain their own FTP software so you can upload the web pages directly through their web page. If you are still needing hosting I would recommend Solid Helium, I used them when I had a website and found them to be really good value for money. There are also free hosts but they aren’t as reliable. Hope this helps.

    download a freet ftp program from http://www.download.com type your user name and pasword and upload to the main directory you need web hosting as well
