It does, if it’s in your name you own it as much as anyone actually can. if some does a whois on the website it will show up with your name.

Yes and No. A domain name registration is technically a lease that is provided by ICANN ( Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) to the registrant (you) through a registrar (broker like GoDaddy).
At any point, ICANN can decide to withdraw your domain (doesn’t happen a lot – usually in cases where there is litigation due to trademark issues etc.).
In 99% of the cases, you will own the domain (the lease) for how many ever years you registered it and can safely transfer or sell it.
Technically though it’s still a lease.

As you may know a domain name is just a name, not a real website. If you are going to create your blog site: 1- Buy a domain name. To get a domain name, you have to pay an annual fee to a registrar for the right to use that name. 2- Buy a web hosting service to provide your online space and enable you to get your website online at your purchased domain name.
If you’re going to start your blog at your own domain with different pages, you need a web host providing wordpress.

Well When you buy a domain name from a domain registrar you buy it for an year. Then before it expire you have to renew buy paying the renewal charge. Yes domain will be a property of yours as long as you renew it. But remember don’t register copy righted or trade mark domains like Google is a trade mark so dont register things like Googlesearch.com coz they can take the domain from you.
So yes you can sell the site with domain or without domain.
