I wouldn’t recommend going with free hosting as their customer support is non existant and your site is liely to go down a lot.
I suggest you have a look at http://www.hosting24.com they will give you a free domain name (.com) and host your website with unlimited webspace and unlimited data transfer. They come with plenty of templates to use and a very useful website builder which would suit your needs perfectly.
Also when you sign up with them if you enter in a discount code they will give you 25% off their ridiculously cheap hosting plans. code to use is 25OFF
I host all my sites there and have been more than pleased with their help and support. I’m no expert in building website’s and their easy to use tools helped me build good sites.

The answer is no, you are never going to find a free domain. The only way to get a free domain is to buy it yourself. Why?
Domain registration requires fees, so technically, no company would want to pay millions and millions for domains when they can just stick everyone with subdomains for free.
I know this answer is not the one you’re looking for, but since a free domain does not exist, it is the best answer you’re going to get that doesn’t give you false hope.

To make a website just follow this guide I made:
First, if you don’t really want to write and you just want to make a site fast with free hosting try these sites:
