Would there be any real legal problem for using partial song lyrics as a domain name? The site would have nothing to do with the band, however.
It would be for a personal site (that would have links to a blog, art, and store for a product line I’m launching).
The product line, however, would not be named after the song lyrics. *
..I’m just wondering if the partial lyrics (that could even just be a regular phrase) might run me into some legal trouble.

That’s called copyright infringement. Use ‘em, but be prepared to pay the piper (or rather, the RIAA).
