All it has now is a message saying the domain has been registered. I want to get rid of this message and put on pictures and text.

You need to creat a webpage then upload it using an FTP. This is an excellent free one.

all you need to do is, design your page with your photo’s on it. save the page as index.html then upload to your ip address.

You fist need to create a webpage. This page will contain all the conten you want on the site. You can use dreamweaver or code in notepad.
After the page is complete you will need to either upload to an ftp, or if you are using your own system as server, then host the page from there.

Well, if you bought the domain from yahoo, then download the yahoo site builder. If you didn’t buy it from yahoo, you can switch it to yahoo, and then they will take care of the server part for you, so you don’t have to buy one… once you have switched it over to yahoo, then you can buy a program called dreamweaver, it is the best web development program on the market. to see yahoo’s webhosting plans click here http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com

you need to buy a server, a domain name is one thing, but to put stuff onto a domain name, you need a server. Do you have one?

I recommend that you use an FTP program, many of which are free or inexpensive.
You will need the username and password sent to you in your welcome email.
Connect to the site using the FTP program of you choice.
If you are using Internet Explorer, you can use that as an FTP program by placing “ftp://” in front of your domain name in the address bar. Once you have arrived at the ftp site, go to Files -> Login As, and login using your username and password.
Remember to place file in the “www” folder so that they will be available to the public for viewing.
If you are uploading your files for the first time, please remember to delete the existing file called “index.php” from the directory.

simple answer:
you have to create a new “index” html page. upload your pix on the hosts FTP site, intergrate them into the index page then upload the html file on the ftp and then you will have a new home page.

have you registered for hosting, the domain only gets ya the url name for your website, what you need now is some space to put them pictures into and thats where your hosting space comes into it.
