I use hostgator and use site build it, which is an online site builder. I can put the ads on my website fine, but I’d like to put them on the edge of the page like you so popularly see. I’ve heard using an online site builder, this is not an option. However, can anyone tell me how to maybe change the code directly without using the site builder to move the ads around. - buy a website design software such as Dreamweaver or Microsoft Expressions, and import your website and all its pages. You can now freely edit your site without the hassle and rigidity of an online site builder
- use Notepad and edit the HTML code of the site. This is free, however, the problem is that you need to be knowledgeable about site coding. Using an online site builder tells me that this is not an option for you given your lack of skills in website creation
Then get an FTP software such as the free Filezilla and upload your new page to Hostgator servers and make the changes live on the web
