My Sql Hosting Question – Go Daddy?

Category: FAQ   Time: 2010-01-15   Tags: , ,

I am not a master web developer! I have a URL and hosting package on GoDaddy. I have set up a mysql database on this. Question is, can I use this database in conjunction with a url and hosting package from another provider or are the mysql databases only for use with the URL and package I have with them? Thanks for any advice.

You can – it is called remote access.
Unless you have very special needs, it is not a very good idea – it generates lots of internet traffic and bandwidth use that will affect your performance.

It’s possible but it will be a big trouble with a complicated process.
Why don’t you use the following service to get rid of all such problems:http://www.threehosts.com/reviews/1st
    Hope this helps.
