Setting Up Wordpress?

Category: FAQ   Time: 2010-01-29   Tags: ,

I got my site and domain with GoDaddy and did their auto wordpress setup, however, when you go to my main domain it says the site has not been uploaded yet, but if you go to mydomain/wordpress it works…I want to get it so that mydomain.com is where word press is setup, how do I do this?

You have to install Wordpress into the root directory of your webserver. You probably installed it on to (rootofwebserver)/wordpress. All you’d have to do is reinstall to the root directory and it should work. Is this on a linux server?

Delete the install in the wordpress folder, then try it again – read the instructions it says:
Leave empty to install in the root directory of the domain
which will install where you want it to go.

    point your domain to mydomain/wordpress
