All together it would be 30 dollars for the dedicated ip and 9.95 for comodo positive ssl

are they worth it ?
The advantage of having an SSL certificate is that it allows you to encrypt communications with your server. You might not need that right now, but if you do more with your site down the road, it’s a good tool to have.
