If I have my Internet business domains reistered at say GoDaddy, can I have a different company, say HostGator Host the websites, even though they are registered at GoDaddy??
If I have GoDaddy Web Host 10 sites, with the domaines there, can I re-direct a link, or sub-domain to my main site at HostGator? Or if its a website or just parked domain at GoDaddy, when you typed in that domain, could it just automatically forward to my main site at HostGator??
Confused in Fresno….

Yes, I use godaddy and hostgator.
If you want to setup a redirect you should do that under godaddy. Just click to manage your domains , click the domain you want to change then click the tab that says redirect. It’s very easy.
If you host with hostgator you would just change the DNS( name servers) of your domains( at godaddy) to point to your hostgator server( hostgator will email you with these details after you join)It should look something like:
NS1.hostgator.com
NS2.hostgator.com
At the godaddy site yu would just manage your domains then click the domain you want to change and where it says nameservers type in your Hostgator servers and your all set!http://secure.hostgator.com/cgi-bin/affi…
Good Luck!
Yes you should be able to do that, I work for an ISP in the Systems department and we have to add pointers all the time to sites that we host, just contact your hosting company they should lead you in the direction you’ll need to go, you’ll have to contact go daddy though I’m sure to update the DNS records.
