Transferring Account From Godaddy To Yahoo?

trying to make a website and used GoDaddy to purchase the domain name. i’m just trying to make a simple site and i am having trouble publishing with godaddy. i have used sitebuilder and found it very easy and will work for what i need. does anyone know if its possible to switch my host.. or could i buy it from godaddy using yahoo?/ thanks for the help

    You absolutely can… with a catch…
    Yahoo is not a proper domains registrar. They are a reseller for the registrar Melbourne IT, based in Australia. So they cannot accept an incoming registration transfer.
    However, you can keep your registration with GoDaddy, and sign up for a web hosting account with Yahoo! Small Business. Then, go back to godaddy and change your DNS records to point to Yahoo!’s name servers. Give it about 48 hours, and you’ll be good to go.
