3. Do you want a keyword based domain? Search engines such as Google are now putting value in the domain names of websites. For example, search for “home business” and look at the top 10 results — most of which have the word “home business” in their domains. If you’re going to do keywords and you will be using several keywords, use hypens and not underscore and don’t make it look spammy long

You should consider if you are branding the name. For example, I have a URL that is my business name: ontheavenues.com That is good for people who want to find my site quickly, they can just search by the name
You should consider if you want to use keywords in the name. For example: freephoenixmls.com, or phoenix-commercial-property.com The hyphen seperates the words so engiines can see the difference. The combined url uses the phrases as one word but engines like google can see each. But, I have many sites that use the hyphen and no more then 3 words.
.com, .biz, .info and so forth will not be an issue. One is not better then the other, it is just that most are use to .com endings. But if you can get a great url with a different extension, go for it
Register the url for more then 2 years as that shows it is not a spam site. Google will judge the site on how long it is secured. Serious users register for more then a few years and this can help.

– Avoid lawyers – do not use any copyrighted name or product in your domain name

1. Make your domain name short but catchy
2. Make sure that yours is original and unique (this means that you don’t have anyone’s domain name on the web…this will confuse a lot of people and also SEs)
3. I also suggest that you have your (dot) extension name based from your country of origin just to inform people ahead that you are from that country.
