I was thinking of using BlueHost for my website, and while I have read lots of positive reviews, I have heard some horror stories too. Same thing with Lunar Pages, although not quite as bad. One website has Lunar Pages listed as the top web hosting company, while another site (I think it was hostgeeks.com?) had reviews from customers that were less than favorable.
Any opinions here? And if you don’t think neither company is worth my time, to you have any other suggestions. I am new at this and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Both companies are OK (for a bellow $10/month hosting). The reason you’ve heard some horror stories about both is because they host hundreds of thousands of websites, so there are bound to be some horror stories.
I would recommend a 3rd one: Dreamhost http://www.dreamhost.com/hosting.html
(they host over 600 000 websites)
I host over 20 sites with them (on a single account) and they’re fantastic!
Although they are initially more expensive than BlueHost and Lunar Pages ($9.95/month ($119.40/year)), you can use the promo code PLUS and get the $50 discount + 2 Free domain names. This way you can get them even cheaper than those two (for $5.78/month)
Disk space: Unlimited
Bandwidth: Unlimited
2 Free domain names
Unlimited domains and subdomains
Price: $5.78/month ($69.40/year)
Hello Angel World.
Both Bluehost and Lunarpages are very comparable and it is true that you will find both positives and negatives for any host out there.
I have used both web hosting providers and I think both are pretty reputable and dependable in the web hosting arena.
If cost is an issue, Bluehost goes for $6.95 / month while Lunarpages is having a Fall Sale at $4.95 / month.
Good Luck
