I was told to go to Godaddy.com, 101domainnameservice.net, and even here on Yahoo for my own .com website. While it’s targeted at small businesses, it works very well for charities, non-profits, hobby sites, etc. It also has other things included as well, such as free email, form designer, contact manager, team workspace, etc. This is a free service and Microsoft is offering a free domain name (i.e. yourdomain.com) for the first year.
