What Is The Best Website To Buy Domain Names? Also, What Is The Best Webhosting Site For A Busy Business?

Hi…I am new to making a website. I run a busy international business, and can’t be bothered with slow traffic. I wanted to get the best webhosting site (unlimited data). What site do you recommend?
Also, if I were to buy domain from say godaddy.com, do I have to also buy web hosting through same company (godaddy). I figured that if I bought domain from godaddy and went with a different site to use as webhost, it might make it slow for people to come to my website, b/c the domain that I bought from godaddy will have to redirect to the web host that is from A DIFFERENT company. I figure that it is best to buy domain and webhost from the same place b/c it will be the quickest for people to come onto my site with no lag time (there won’t be much redirection b/c both domain and webhost are from same company). Am I right in my thinking?

I advise HostMonster. They have many things that GoDaddy lacks, such as officialized support for PHP 5 (and not some file-renaming convention).
Also, they have CPANEL, great uptime and superb phone tech support (I’ve never been on the phone for longer than 2 minutes trying to wait for someone to answer my call).
As for the domain name – it doesn’t matter as much as you might think. Some companies will try to run their “game” on you and insert little fees here and there, but if you stay with GoDaddy or HostMonster or someone of equal calibre, you’ll wind up being okay. Just try to make sure you get your domain name with your hosting company. It saves on hassle and time.

If you are serious when you say that you need speed for a busy site then you need a VPS, (virtual private server ) not shared hosting like everyone is advising you to do.
Now you are asking for “the best” so I had a search around and you might want to read this thread and see what they suggesthttp://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread…
And no, you aren’t right in thinking it’ll have less lag time when buying domain and hosting from the same place. Above you are talking Ferrari 308 and now you are talking Honda C90 moped.

For web host, use hostgator.com 1TB memory and Unlimited bandwidth. $15 a month.
It is perfectly fine to use a different domain company, it will not slow down access to your website. Actually, I recommend not using the same web host and domain company. For buying a domain name, I suggest netfirms.com

Do not buy domain from web hosting company , buy it from a domain registrar like namecheap, enom ,etc.
You can check review of top ten web hosting service providers at website like http://aplis.net/ .

    Hi,
If you buy hosting, they usually give you a domain names. Two companies I recommend: Netfirms and 1&1 Internet Hosting.
Netfirms has a great deal on domains for $5.95 and includes private registration (GoDaddy requires you to pay extra $6.99 for private registration):http://www.kqzyfj.com/bo117sjrfnq4857A57…
1&1 has good packages for hosting starting at $1.99 (gives you a free domain as well) – very responsive support:http://www.dpbolvw.net/iq79ehpdlo2635835…
Just want to point out, there’s no lag time if you host domain at one provider and host your website on with another provider. However, you will need to do configuration yourself. Good luck!
