I’m not familiar with GoDaddy’s Deluxe Package. However, when you register privately, your contact information is not made available to the public. For example, go to godaddy.com and request the name yahoo.com. It will tell you that yahoo.com is already taken. Right beside that message, you are given the option to learn who owns yahoo.com buy clicking “click here for info.” You will be taken to a Who Is search page. After following the prompts of entering an access code, you will be given the contact information for the registrar of that domain name. If you choose not to register your name privately, your contact information will be made available for public viewing and for spam. I highly recommend that you register your domain name privately.
Tip: GoDaddy.com has a great search box which shows the availablity of all extensions side by side. In addition, it is more popular. However, they are more expensive than others ($8.99 for a .com, .net or a .org) and there is an additional charge for private registrations (an additional $6.99.) Visit www.TheDomainDistrict.com and register a .com, .net, or .org domain for only $5.99. This fee includes private registration, the ICANN fee ($0.22) and a 1,000 MB mailbox. The last time I checked, GoDaddy’s mailbox size was only 25 MB.

I hope this helps!
