godaddy is ok, but for both hosting and domains, startlogic is the besthttp://interkeys.com/tophosts.htm
you can host 50 domains in 1 at startlogic

Easyspace.com do domain names for most of the common extensions. They also do hosting, virtual and dedicated.
If you want specific extensions apart from the common ones then you will have to search for a country specific supplier.

    http://www.fasthosts.co.uk
They use Sitebuilder software to allow you to build your own website. (It’s easy for the newbie!!!) They supply free ftp software and they can also register your own Domain name.

    Awesome cheap software:
    Notepad 2:
An alternative to windows notepad that has build in syntax schemes (color coded etc), and more!
A great free host (i think) is byethost.com They have good service and reliable servers. Not too good for large data handling.

I use 1&1, they are not extremally cheap, or free, but have loads of special offers, so usually You pay first subscription after first 3 months – or even later, giving you time to build and optimize your website.
Very reliable hosting, website builder, SEO tools, and a lot more…my reccomendation

There are two principal steps to make your website on the internet and registering/booking a domain name is the number one.
A domain name builds the address of your site and can end in . com, . net, . org, . info, . us, . biz, . tv and further.
Directly afer you have registered your name, you will pick a web host (2nd step). The web host is the guts of any website as this is where you build and publish your pages, build purchase fillings, insert service and preserve your site.
