Change theme: Go here http://themes.wordpress.net/. Download any theme yo want. Connect to your server via FTP. Upload the new theme folder to the wp-content/themes folder. Sign in to the admin section. Go to presentation. The new theme should have a pic for you to click to select it as your new theme.
Maybe this site will help instead of explaining everything here.http://www.siteground.com/tutorials/word...

These instructions from from Wordpress.org describe everything you need to do:
To add a new theme to your WordPress installation, follow these basic steps:
 1. Download the theme archive and extract the files it contains. You may need to preserve the directory structure in the archive when extracting these files. Follow the guidelines provided by your theme author.
 2. Using an FTP client to access your host web server, create a directory to contain your theme in the wp-content/themes directory provided by WordPress. For example, a theme named Test should be in wp-content/themes/test. Your theme may provide this directory as part of the archive.
 3. Upload the theme files to the new directory on your host server.
To select the active theme for your site:
 1. Log in to the WordPress Administration Panels.
 2. Select the Presentation subpanel.
 3. From the Available Themes section, click on theme title (or theme screenshot) for the theme you wish to activate.
 4. To view the new look, click View Site at the top of the Panel's screen.
Your selection should immediately become active.
An image URL is the web location of an image file. If your site is www.mysite.com and you have an image called picture1.jpg that you keep in an images/ folder, then the image URL would be www.mysite.com/images/picture1.jpg
Hope this helped!
By the way - Wordpress is an excellent piece of software and you should have no problem getting plenty of help as you need it.

Adding and modifying themes are easy, especially with hostmonster. I use them and you can upload the themes by logging into the admin section of your hostmonster account.
You will need to go to the Legacy File Manager, or File Manager, either one that you prefer. You can then move to the themes folder in your wordpress installation, and upload directly from hostmonster. You won't need an FTP program to do this.
As for the adding pictures, it depends on if you want a gallery, or just add a picture in a post.
If you want a gallery, there are several plugins available to you on wordpress. If you just want to add a picture to a post, while you are writing that post, you can go to the upload section on the post page, click to browse to the picture you want to add, and it adds it into your post wherever you want it.
I use hostmonster and wordpress exclusively for my business and blogs, so if you need further help, please let me know through my sites contact form.http://ejcross.com/contact/
